Our School

Our school is called " Dvojka " (Second Elementary School) and it is located in the centre of Mlada Boleslav .

The school is placed in two separated buildings at the Comenius Square and it offers very good material facilities for modern teaching.

Three gyms, two computer rooms, four language classrooms, a classroom for environmental education with a laboratory, a training apartment, workshop and other specialized classrooms with interactive boards can be used by our students. School club is available daily for pupils from the 1st to 5th grade. All our students can have lunch at the school canteen.

The school is attended by 580 pupils, not all our pupils live in Mlada Boleslav, due to good transport links many of them commute from nearby villages.

Our school has been well known as the school with extended teaching of foreign languages ​​for several generations. We teach according to our own curriculum focused on teaching foreign languages. During the school year we organize abroad school trips, which are aimed at improving the conversation skills in foreign languages.

Our goal is to create a friendly and open school where pupils, teachers and parents will meet and cooperate in a pleasant atmosphere. We do not want to teach children ‘what’ to learn but ‘how’ to learn because we believe that education is a process of creating self-motivated, self-reliant and self-aware young minds. In their class groups we lead them to cooperation, courtesy and respect. Our pupils should leave the school not only with factual knowledge but also with the ability to find their place in everyday life. They should know their rights and respect the rights of others, and they should be looking forward to their future education. We are always ready to work on ourselves to fulfil our goals.
